Founder — Tejas Mehta
UPSTYE is founded and led by Tejas Mehta, with 15+ years inside India’s K12 ecosystem across schools, coaching, operations, distribution and growth.
That ground-level perspective shapes how UPSTYE thinks about product, partnerships and the long arc of school-grade infrastructure.
India K12 opportunity
India’s K12 system is the single largest student population on earth — roughly 250 million students across ~1.5 million schools.
Three forces are converging: NEP 2020 reshaping board expectations, a new generation of high-information parents, and the first wave of AI capable of personalising learning at scale.
The decisions made in the next two to three years will define the infrastructure of the next decade.
K12 + AI Learning thesis
UPSTYE’s thesis is that the most valuable layer of next-decade K12 is the quiet infrastructure layer — personalisation, feedback and progress visibility — not flashy consumer apps.
This favours durable, defensible products built in close partnership with schools, and a brand that earns trust over years rather than seasons.
Vision 2030
By 2030, UPSTYE aims to be foundational infrastructure for personalised, AI-assisted K12 learning across India, with a meaningful and growing global footprint.
This is a decade-scale build. We are choosing patient product investment over short-cycle growth.
Product roadmap (in development)
UPSTYE’s product roadmap is intentionally focused. Stages and timelines are current intent and subject to development outcomes.
- AI notebooks for K12 students — in research and development.
- Smart classroom devices for school deployment — concept and design stage.
- Robotics and STEM kits with structured curriculum — in design and prototyping.
- Personalised learning workflow tools for teachers and parents — in research.
- School-grade infrastructure (assessments, dashboards) — future phase.
Growth strategy
UPSTYE’s growth strategy is anchored on three pillars:
- Deep school partnerships — pilots, co-design and structured rollouts with select schools.
- Direct-to-family channel — honest brand and strong product to earn parent trust over time.
- Distribution and institutional partners — carefully selected to extend reach without diluting brand.
School partnership strategy
School partnerships are core to UPSTYE’s long-term moat. We are opening early-pilot conversations with a small number of forward-looking partner schools.
These partnerships are structured: clear scope, shared learning, honest measurement, and joint go-to-market once products launch.
Distribution strategy
Distribution will be opened in a phased way after commercial launch. UPSTYE’s priority is brand-aligned distribution — carefully selected partners across India and, over time, target international geographies.
Distributor and channel-partner conversations are open for the post-launch phase. Reach out via the Contact form or the Distribute pathway.
How to engage
